Video: Pro Skier Jesper Tjäder Skiing on Top of a Building in Copenhagen

As we showed on the previous article, one of the main ski areas in Denmark is Copenhill, but unlike the rest it works all year round with plastic mats that simulate snow.

Amager Bakke, also known as Amager Slope or Copenhill, is a prominent waste-to-energy combined heat and power facility in Amager, Copenhagen, Denmark. Located in a prominent location, it offers a stunning view of the city center.

Its recreational features, including a dry ski slope, hiking trail and climbing wall, debuted in December 2018. Estimates suggest annual attendance ranging from 42,000 to 57,000 visitors. Copenhill was awarded the prestigious title of World Building of the Year 2021 at the 14th annual World Architecture Festival.
